RALPH

Scavenger Of Death released RALPH's debut 7" back in 2010 and it still rips five years later. Atlanta's RALPH blessed us with 7 tracks of 80's inspired punk, cock-rock solos as well as yells and yelps you would think were recorded in the 70's. This 7" is RALPH's only release, but maybe that's a good thing. RALPH never had the opportunity to suck or recycle their music in future releases.

Open Letters

Picture of Open Letters
Open Letters hail from Vancouver, British Columbia and construct an aggressive, catchy and overall fun as hell blend of pop punk, indie and grungy alternative jams. This trio shares vocal duties over highly addictive tunes that are driven and creative with endless harmonies, insane drum smashing and kick-ass riffs. I can't see myself getting sick of them ever!  Super-refreshing stuff here.  No fucking doubt!  Snag below, support, crank, crank, then crank it again.  Dig.

Protestant

Protestant is a crusty metallic hardcore band from Milwaukee, WI.  These guys are super-heavy with deep distorted bass, monstrously destructive riffs, beast-like drumming and harsh walls of howls and growls.  They have awesomely fast crusty parts that rip-face, then they break down to slower, sludgy and doom-like parts that are plain devastating.  Protestant thrashes like a hardcore punk band, and even add nice elements of grind and black metal to the mix.  Think the brutality of Trap Them meets the speed and attitude of Get Rad.  These dudes are fucking rowdy as hell and are worth all of your attention.  Below is everything I could find from these brutes.  Dig.

(NOTE: The As Dead As We Look CD is a compilation of the band's Make Peace With The Rope You Hang From LP, tracks from their split 7" with Rhino Charge & their 2005 Demo EP)

Gidim

Picture of Gidim
Gidim is a black metal project from a musical mastermind out of the Chicago punk scene.  This unholy presentation of blackened punk is layered with constant guitar shredding, blistering drum work and throat-tearing shrieks of utter madness.  This is an amazing display of menacing sounds that're eerie and strangely melodic with an end result of sheer insanity.  The production of this material is especially great and captures the bleak harshness perfectly.  Snag everything below and DIG!

C.C.T.V.

C.C.T.V. is yet another odd-ball punk concoction from Northwest Indiana that surely delivers the goods.  This Coneheads-affiliated group sounds undeniably similar the mighty cone with speed-fueled delivery and on-point musicianship but it's a kick-ass punk sound nonetheless and will definitely have you hooked.  Snag every maniacal release below and dig.

Cassilis

Picture of Cassilis
Here's some super-heavy screamo from Philadelphia's Cassilis.  These guys constructed loud, dark, technical and crushing material.  Their sound consists of angular guitar work soaked in distortion, intricately hard-hitting drums and walls of gut-wrenching screams.  These guys always brought Coffin Dancer or Storm The Bastille to mind when comparing other bands.  You be the judge, snag their discography below and dig.

Anxiety Hammer

Picture of Anxiety Hammer
Here's some stomping 80's inspired hardcore punk from Philadelphia's Anxiety Hammer.  This band consists of some punk veterans that create an ugly and stripped down version of the genre.  Their sound consists of dirty riffs, shitty solo's, caveman percussion and rough vocals.  This band even nods to some older sk8-friendly thrash vibes which is always refreshing.  Snag their new 7" along with their rad demo below and dig.

Hunting Party

Hunting Party hailed from the Bay Area, California and played ugly, off-kilter hardcore punk that was loaded with originality and coated with grit.  These guys spit out an undeniably baddass demo back in 2011 followed by an equally ripping 7" and lastly an exclusive track for the Iron Lung Mixtape II.  These sounds are menacing and catchy but never seem to shy away from sheer intensity.  This shit is goooooood!  Snag their discography below and dig hard.

Republic Of Dreams

Picture of Republic of Dreams
Oh man, these German gents know how to create some intense screamo/power violence/whateverthefuckyouwanttocallit. All the blast and super high notes make my ears want to bleed in the most positive way. Below is their LP along with a long-awaited split EP that's hopefully a sign for even more to come sooner than later. Get on this shit if you haven't already, it's fucking tasty.
