Hail Mary was a fierce and highly energetic hardcore punk super-group based outta New York.  Featuring members of Das Oath, Monster X, Deathsquad, Limp Wrist, Dropdead, Conniption & sooo much more, they spit out numerous releases in the late 90's and eventually split up in the early 2000's.  These guys played an incredible brand of punk rock that's just full of nasty vocals, guitar thrashing and pumped-up bass and drums.  These jamz are timeless and have to be praised. Oakland's Reivers is a ripping onslaught of beefed-up hardcore that's loaded with energy and never stops rocking.  This is a female-fronted riff-fest of heavy duty hardcore that even adds catchy hooks to the mix.  Their sound  is a flawlessly captured hybrid of d-beat and hardcore punk that's drenched with crust.  This band is rowdy as hell and one of my personal addictions lately.  Dig hard.  Dig deep.

Cara Neir

Dallas, Texas' Cara Neir is a fucking blast of experimentation, aggression and energy.  They're a 2-piece black-metal, grind-punk band full of sludge, crust and violence.  Their sound is dark and punishing with an onslaught of face-melting riffs, unholy drum programming and harrowing shrieks.  These dudes are brutal as hell and combine these elements of the extreme into perfection and the overall concoction is heavy, ripping and highly memorable. Product Of Waste

Product Of Waste was a thrashing hardcore punk band from the Providence, RI area.  Formed in the mid-2000's, these guys were fast, mean and damn enjoyable.  They played a mixture of  rapid-fire fastcore with classic hardcore breakdowns and tasty chants.  Aggressive, fresh and memorable.  The band is also heavily influenced by underground hip-hop, which definitely shows in the vocalist's rhyme scheme.  Check out these jamz,  they own!  Everything I could find from the band is posted below.  You can download the singer's rap project HERE and HERE  and also purchase their 2011 full-length release called P.O.W. These texans play a style of doom rock that leans a bit more on the stoner side. Plug owns in the riffage department, but the boys on the rhythm side of things stay on their toes and beef things up as well. Vocals range from a yell that comes from the gut to a strained style of singing that reminds me of Floor or Torche. Planets Live In Houses

 

So I've been on a roll lately. Posting new sweet bands, finding hidden gems, playing Skate 3 on ps3, and just kicking ass in general. So here is more of that. I don't even remember how I found Planets Live In Houses, but I did and I'm stoked. These dudes play really nice mathy-rock stuff. It's awesome as fuck! They have some insane drumming and wild noodling, and bubbly parts, and some nice licks for sure. Below is their self-titled EP that came out in January. Get!
