DEMONBROTHER

Demonbrother is a thumping, noise-punk brainchild of Will Killingsworth and Andrew Jackmauh.  This outfit recently released an unholy and heavy-as-hell debut 12" on the always-great Iron Lung Records and it's easily some of the meanest material dropped this year.  This release is filled with walls of feedback, hypnotic and crunchy guitar work, brooding bass tones, menacing noise samples and cave-man drum beatings.  Demonbrother has been spinning in my record player nonstop for a damn good reason.  Fans of Man Is The Bastard will know what's up.  Snag below and get lost.  Dig.

Obliteration

Massachusetts' Obliteration combine everything great from classic American hardcore and the always pummeling Scandinavian D-beat style.  Furious vocals are belted out with a deep echo over beefed up guitar riffs, a hefty amount of headbangin' solo's, thunderous bass and loud as hell drums.  Here are some jams for marching out to war!  Consisting of ex-Mind Eraser and Knife Fight members, these dudes are doing everything brutally right!  I posted their three 7" EP's below that will absolutely destroy you.  DIG!

Perth, Australia's Nervous Trend creates a driving and moody brand of post-punk while adding energized hardcore punk influences with great success.  The vocals are hypnotic and mesmerizing blanketing over aggressive-yet-trippy guitar-work, constant drum action and fuzzy bass rhythms.  They've dropped an amazing demo so far and i'm chomping at the bit for some more material!  Snag below and dig.

Siege

Weymouth, Massachusetts' Siege needs no introduction.  If you actually don't know who these punks where, they existed from 1983-1985 and played an unprecedentedly frantic, vicious and experimental brand of American hardcore which influenced many growing genres at the time.  These guys are like the Bad Brains on heavy amounts of drugs while shredding their instruments to shit.  Classic.  Dig.

VELD

VELD is a menacingly raw black-metal punk project of Jeff Poleon (Low Charge, Skvlt, Veloz, Host, Won't Belong, etc.) that's absolutely punishing on the senses.  It started as a one-man band and eventually formed into a demolishing live act.  Dark and unsettling noise floods over harsh guitar distortions, layers of feedback and endless shrieks/growls.  These harrowing jams are straight ahead for the most part but tend to grind and blast into frenzied breaks of anger and violence.  Brutal.  Sketchy.  Dirty.  Sick.  Find a dark place to suffer and download what I think is their discography below.
