Cold Waste

Cold Waste.
This is so good! Guitar, bass, and a drum machine.
Post-punk goodies from Florida. Nice galloping riffs and smooth bass. The singer reminds me of something, or someone else, but I don't know who. Good though. real good. A full length cassette is due out on Dead Tank Records sometime soon. Can't wait!

Moral Authority

Picture of Moral Authority
Birmingham, Alabama's Moral Authority is a fierce and rough delivery of dirty hardcore punk.  These jams are coated with grittiness and undeniable energy.  Their debut EP is a force to be reckoned with as it's an instantly memorable display of ugly, basement-dwelling scum punk.  Urgent, messy, angry and rad.  Snag this shit now.  Dig.

Robocop

Picture of Robocop
Robocop played an unstoppable hybrid of powerviolence and face-melting grindcore.  These guys shredded everything to absolute shit with their guttural vocal roars, manic drum chaos, violent guitar shredding and deep bass fuzz.  This band was chaotic and brutal leaving behind some greatly intense music while they existed.  Snag everything they've released below and DIG!

Safety Word

Safety Word hails from Chicago and plays a grime-coated brand of menacing punk.  Their sound is stripped-down, ugly and layered with distorted madness.  Thumping drums, awesomely shitty guitar riffs and solos and degenerate vocals.  This mess of gritty punk shouldn't be missed by anyone.  Snag their jams below and dig.

Zoom

Picture of Zoom
Washington, D.C.'s Zoom play an urgent and thrash-drenched brand of American hardcore that even resembles the classic 80's D.C. sound.  Ugly vocals are spit over messy riffs and pounding punk abuse that never skips a beat.  This stuff is rough and supercharged with nonstop energy, not to mention the all around catchy-ness of their debut demo.  Snag this refreshing display of hardcore punk and dig.

Finisher

Finisher is an insane punk-fused sludge band from Massachusetts.  Formed back in 2006, this trio has played hundreds of shows all across the states spreading their gargantuan distorted riffs, destructive drum skills and fierce, throat-tearing vocals.  All of Finisher's material is incredible!  It's heavy, groovy and unholy!  I'll never stop cranking their jams so I thought I'd spread the love.  Everything I could gather is posted below.  DIG!

Violets

Barcelona's, Violets dropped a killer self-titled debut last year and I can't believe I haven't found this band until now. 11 tracks of old-school skate punk with that small dose poppy goodness. Female fronted and it sounds so, fucking, goood.

For fans of: The Offspring, The Vigilantes, & Pennywise

Business Models

Here's a nice dose of 90's inspired indie from the supergroup trio, Business Models. These guys play with a more pretty and riff inspired style of the genre which creates an awesome cocktail of both memorable and fun songs.

Members were also in: Algernon CadwalladerApe Up!, & Man Without A Plan

Impulse

Here's some bombastic and blazing powerviolence from Chula Vista, California's Impulse.  This band is a full fledged burst of hyper-speed delivered punk that's not the regular ripoff of the ever-growing genre.  Tight, forceful and original to say the least.  Snag their rippers below and DIG!!!!!!

Criminal Code

Picture of Criminal Code
Tacoma, Washington's Criminal Code owns!  This post-punk outfit blows my mind every time I listen to them.  These guys rip track after track with refreshingly upbeat-yet-moody sounds consisting of constant hardcore drum abuse, fuzzy guitars, bass parts soaked in effects and grungy vocals.  This trippy, reverb-drenched display of modern hardcore punk is a godsend for any music fan... Period!  Snag everything below and dig hard!!!!!!

Headroom

This UK four-piece plays a progressive indie that's much more poppy and memorable then some of the other stuff that's been coming out lately. Headroom definitely have a late 90's early 00's feel to their music, but cut out the unnecessary "jam rock" parts to make room for solid songwriting. Their debut 7" is a good listen no matter what you're doing. Carry Me Away, their newest 7" is slightly darker and more mature but still awesome. Snag it and keep your fingers crossed for a full-length.

This short and only release from PA's Cop Torture is a fun listen. Catchy punk riffs with a little bit of speed and plenty of aggression towards...well you know. Members went on to form Bad Faith
