Lack Of Interest

Downtown L.A. crowd and Lack Of Interest in Various Live Shots by
Now it's time for some good ole' So Cal Powerviolence from Lack Of Interest.  Loaded with a whirlwind of distortion, rapid paced drums and tough-guy vocals, these guys are awesomely baddass!  Formed back in the early 90's, Lack Of Interest has always been about the music and never about the money.  These guys never want to headline shows, they just want to be included on some ill-ass bills.  Good messages and damn good tunes.  If you dig early powerviolence, don't miss these guys.  They own!  Everything I could find is posted below.  Snag and DIG!!!!!!

Brain Killer

Picture of Brain Killer
Brain Killer played some blazing American hardcore with noisy Japanese d-beat inspirations.  These guys ripped through pummeling material that was tough as nails and never let up for a second .  Their music is filled with buzzsaw riffs, muddled bass noise, non-stop drum abuse and burly vocal grunts.  Snag everything below if you haven't had the privilege yet.  Dig!!!!!!

Crown Court

London's Crown Court dropped one hell of a demo with their debut entitled "Trouble From London" and now they have a new 7" EP under their belt!  These early 80's Oi! inspired jams are incredibly addictive.  Rough, thumping and surprisingly melodic in a punk-as-fuck way.  Get pissed.  Dig!

We Were Skeletons

Picture of We Were Skeletons
Lancaster, Pennsylvania's We Were Skeletons always delivered the goods.  Lasting from 2007-2013, this trio spit out technical and heartfelt emotional hardcore jams that always brought Off Minor and Ampere vibes to my mind.  These guys constructed masterful tunes of noodly-yet-heavy guitars, angular bass rhythms, mathematical drum work and harshly melodic dual vocals.  Snag everything below and DIG!

Giraffes? Giraffes!

This duo plays some of the most technical and instrumental math rock I've heard. With a name like Giraffes? Giraffes! They were destined to acquire an odd sound. There's no way to describe Giraffes? Giraffes! So, I'm just going to repeat what I thought once I heard their discography for the first time. G?G!= A blender filled with math rock+instrumental+alternative+psychedelic, turned on high speeds to confuse and entertain.  Saw these dudes blow up a bookstore in Peterborough, NH this spring with Ampere and Speedy Ortiz.  Killed it!!!  Snag everything below because it's incredible..  Jam on.  Dig.

Hard Girls

This super sweet trio play a style of garage punk that's reminiscent of the bands below, but Hard Girls are very unique in their own way too. Cool guitar riffs/solos which sound almost made up on the spot, lead bass lines that stand alone, and fresh unpredictable drumming. All wrapped up in Weezer-esque song structure, mind you. Rad! Download their current discography.

Members were also in: Classics Of LovePteradon, & Shinobu
