Issei Sagawa

Three scum fucks from Arizona formed this blown-out mess of degenerate hardcore punk and instantly made a name for themselves.  Issei Sagawa is diiiirrrty!!  They released a gnarly little EP on Youth Attack along with a split release with American black metal outfit Altars.  Apparently they even soaked their 7" test press booklets in their own urine to add some class to their release.  Don't be fooled, these guys actually ripped it up during their short reign of thrashing.  Snag their discography below and dig.

Ordstro

Ordstro is a 3-piece from the bay area that plays some menacing and spastic powerviolence/emoviolence that's brutal as hell.  Non-stop riffs, pummeling drum abuse and throat tearing vocals are all delivered with precision and endless amounts of raging energy.  This is far from cookie-cutter PV, it's cleverly written and their song transitions are ridiculous and all over the place.  This band knows how to keep the genre alive and kicking ass.  Snag everything I could find below and feel free to share any of the chaos I may be missing.  Dig!

Yadokai

Yadokai hails from the Bay Area, CA and plays an addictive mess of noisy-as-hell hardcore that is fierce as fuck!  Loud riffs burst through crashing cymbals mending with muddy bass and harrowing vocals.  Their sound is highly influenced by Japanese fastcore and Italian hardcore.  It's fast, ugly, ripping, angry and mesmerizing.  Prepare for a punch-dance-trance of buzzing, thrash drenched hardcore punk.  Snag everything below and DIG!

Strangers

Strangers is the fucking thrash-tastic monster you might have heard about featuring members from many other bands involved in the Chicago punk scene. At least I think so. There isn't too much on internet on them, but something tells me they want it that way. Their current discography is a quick listen. You're better off playing it multiple times. The chaotic energy woven into these songs will sink in better that way.

RETOX

California's Retox play a mess of music that can be categorized as punk, grind, or noise rock. But one thing is for certain, it's drenched in overall weirdness. As you can see from the links below, Retox is one hell of a supergroup. You'd be an idiot not to check them out. Expect just a few more releases before they break up so the members can form another fucked up project that will blow your mind. All their releases are below.

For fans of: DaughtersDas Oath, & The Locust

Highness

Progressive, indie, and atmospheric. Those are the three words that popped into my head when I first heard Highness. And judging from the members previous bands, (excluding the singer/guitarist's band Christine Front Drive) it's very surprising. This supergroup better fucking last because their debut LP is killer. Can't wait to hear more. Click the link. You know you want to.

Members where also in: City Of CaterpillarPg. 99Forensics, Darkest Hour, & Christine Front Drive

Calculator

These CA gents are one of the very few who still play scream-o in the style of bands of our yesteryear. Starting out in 2007, Calculator have held their own, considering this type of music is now a dying breed. Their LP These Roots Grow Deep... is a discography collection of their early efforts followed by the 7" New Forms. The 7" is a more mature Calculator. Their songs are tighter, more heartfelt, and most importantly, stay true to their scream-o roots while adapting a fresher sound that doesn't seem as dated as their older stuff. This Will Come To Pass picks up right where the 7" left off, but it's a little darker and harder at times. You be the judge. Snag it. Snag it all.

Perdition

Picture of Perdition
Perdition is out of NYC and plays some of the scummiest d-beat punk to hit the scene.  This is some completely blown-out, degenerate hardcore punk with heavy Japanese-style influences that will have you hooked.  Their sound is noisy and in your face and flows with non-stop raging intensity.  Snag everything below!  Dig!

Alpinist

Picture of Alpinist — Elba Squat - Warsaw
Alpinist is incredible.  Hailing from Munster, Germany,  this four-piece created some unholy and barbaric hardcore that's dark and crusty as hell and even adds slight undertones of screamo in the mix.  Everything about these guys is absolutely astounding.  Massive riffs and girthy bass lines flood everywhere and mesh amazingly to their highly complex drum parts that never seem to let up.  Their dual vocals are especially harsh with the exchange of howling roars and throat-tearing screams.  I'm not really sure if Alpinist is on hiatus or not, but you can check out 3/4 of the members in the equally brutal Jungbluth.  Snag everything I could hunt down below and dig.
