Total Fury

Total Fury is a thrashy hardcore punk band from Japan.  Taking many influences from the 80's D.C. hardcore scene, these lil' dudes still manage to make the sound fresh!  melodic at times, but they shred like no one else!  They give me kind of a surf-rock/skate-punk vibe with some of the brief twangy guitar solos, but it just adds more flava' to the mix.  I can't stress enough how much this band fuckin' owns!!! Below is everything I could find from these guys.  I believe I'm only missing their Split 7" with Grissle (1999), Live @ The Nile Studio 7" & some Compilation Material.  Enjoy, these guys rule!! Two Words... Fuck Yeah!

DICKKICKER

Yes, their name is Dickkicker! Awesome I know. This is a fairly new band out of Florida playing amazing stoner rock/metal. The recordings are on the raw side but it gives the songs are grittier feel to them which adds to the whole experience I think. These guys are great too because their songs aren't too long. They keep it pretty short while still sludging out on some sweet riffs! Snag this shit up. I read that they have, or are recording for some splits, but I couldn't find anything on them. If you know of anything let me know! Below is their first release from 2010 called Somniloquent, 3 Songs from 2011 & The End that dropped in Feb. 2012. Dig!

Kidcrash

Since 2000 Kidcrash have been tearing shit up, and surprisingly they're still together. Progressive screamo with some post-rock added into the mix. Kidcrash owns. I got to see them a couple of summers ago when they went on tour for their Jokes LP. Their set was longer than most of the bands who played, but I was so entertained I didn't want them to stop. Kidcrash wasn't always the progressive scream-o powerhouse we know them as today. From 00-04 they were a pop-punk indie band (WHAAAT?!!?!). The furthest release from the top, New Ruins is their only release in that style. After that they decided to develop the sound they still play today. I personally love New Ruins, it's really different compared to the Kidcrash we know today, but it's almost a guilty pleasure. I highly recommend listening to New Ruins first, Goldie Hawn second, and so on. It's cool listening to how much Kidcrash developed their sound and style over the years. Their entire discography is below!

Note: 5 songs out of the 9 on the Jokes LP are re-worked/re-recorded versions of the Demo '06 songs. Some songs have new parts, transitions, and faster parts then the original recordings in 06.

Full Blown A.I.D.S

Here we have yet another side project from junkie-scumfuck-bastard, Mr. Seth Putnam (RIP).  I've always had a soft spot for Anal Cunt, more of a guilty pleasure, but Full Blown A.I.D.S really impressed me!  They play an incredible down-tuned, sludgy, dirty mix of doom metal with a hardcore attitude.  The band's name made me take them as a joke at first, however, they strangely blew my mind!  Perfect combination of grimey sabbath-like riffage along with Seth's famous high-pitched scream works magic.  Below is everything they put out except for the 2010 release "Viral Load 2xLP" that contained live recordings on three sides and four new studio tracks on the fourth side.  Enjoy...Ya Dig.

Tiny Hawks

Fucking Tiny Hawks! I foolishly forgot about this band until just recent when I saw their name somewhere and decided these jamz had to get thrown up on here! Tiny Hawks was a two-piece punk band from Providence, RI. Their music style is somewhat math rock mixed with hints of thrash and noise rock and just plain amazing! I was lucky enough to see these guys back in '06 at Record Hospital Fest in MA and I was blown away. A video of that show is below (not full show). You have to download these albums right fucking now! Life changing to say the least. Fucking Dig!
ps. Both members now play in Arcing.

The Vigilantes

Saddle up ol' school punkers. Todays post belongs to none other than Massachusetts' own, The Vigilantes. Lots of sing-along punk anthems showered with whoas throughout. What's not to like? In the late 90's early 00's the Vigilantes were the only street punk band in the scene with a soft side. Most bands during this time would get curbed stomped for being soft, but the Vigilantes' music is sooo damn catchy it's impossible to hate. Enjoy their discography below.

Cult Ritual

Cult Ritual was a raging punk band from Florida. These dudes rip so fucking hard it's hard to comprehend. Angry as fuck and brutal live. Not too much else to say other than, to quote their lastfm page, "Musically compared to Vladimir Mikhaylovich Komarov, the first man to die in outer space." If that doesn't get you stoked than eat shit. Below is their rehearsal cs, first demo, three 7" EP's, and their amazing as fuck LP.  Dig hard! Now! If anyone could share the 2nd and 3rd demos that would be great.  Dig!
