Synthetic ID

Synthetic ID is a super-fun post-punk band from San Francisco that spits out infectiously catchy and upbeat jams that'll surely slap a grin on your face.   Their sound is loaded with constantly dancing guitar work, driving and jumpy bass/drum tempos and monotone-yet-melodic vocals.  This band is awesome so snag everything and have fun.  Dig.

Soma Coma

Soma Coma hails from Melbourne, Australia and plays a menacing and unrelenting brand of hardcore.  Consisting of ex-Eat A Brick members, this band delivers raw, violent, ugly, noisy and plain fucked up hardcore punk that's fast and blazing with buzzsaw guitars, blasting drum work and throat-tearing screams.  Huge thanks to OldSchoolMike at OneTrackToHell for putting me onto these maniacs.  These guys are absolutely nuts so snag everything and dig hard!

I Am Become Death

I Am Become Death hails from Boston, Massachusetts and plays a pummeling brand of metallic hardcore.  These guys construct crushing grooves with added sprinklings of d-beat, grind and experimentation.  The band's EP is a sure ripper and will hopefully lead to more heavy and abrasive material soon.  Snag below and dig.

Wetbrain

Here's a good dose of hardcore punk from Cleveland's Wetbrain.  These 80's inspired mutant sounds are aggressive and straight-to-the-point with endless punk riffs, wailing guitar leads, constant drum beatings and obnoxious vocal yelps.  This stuff rules.  Snag below and dig.

Ooze

Ooze are from Chicago and played some of the best up and coming snotty punk to date. Even the recordings sound obnoxious-as-fuck.  Below is everything I could hunt down. Download and get gross.

Oaf

Vancouver's Oaf is a gritty, blown out, thrashing mess of distorted hardcore punk.  This band came out of nowhere and kicked me square in the face.  The production of their material is ugly in the best way and these driving tracks of blasting drum beats, frantic guitar riffs and fierce vocals are captured perfectly.  Not much else can be said so snag and crank loud.  Dig.

Dangerous Ponies

Dangerous Ponies were a fantastic indie power pop band. It's a shame that they're done, but bask in the recordings they left behind. Each of the seven members contribute greatly throughout their music, making the Dangerous Ponies a catchy pop-gushing paradox.

Last Words

North Carolina's Last Words played a ferociously violent and pummeling brand of straight-edge hardcore.  These jams are loud, hard-hitting and fast as hell.  Vicious female fronted vocals are spit over thick guitar riffs, fuzzed-out bass and thunderous drum work.  The band only released a demo followed by a ripping LP that's simply amazing.  Snag and dig.

Dowsing

Dowsing are an indie band, yes this much is true. But they're not as math, noodle, or twinkly as their colleagues. They're more straight ahead for lack of a better term, I guess. And emo. Super emo. But who gives a fuck. It's rad and you should download their shit right now.
