Pusher

Pusher was a dirty, grinding hardcore punk band outta Louisville, Kentucky.  I guess you can call these guys a supergroup due to the fact they were made up of members from Breather Resist, Coliseum & Lords.  Pusher was very short-lived with only an EP released on Auxiliary Records.  This release is so fuckin' good!  I just wish they spit out a little more material but, eh, what'cha gon' do!?  Download it.  Crank it.  Enjoy it.  Spread da word.  DIG!

The Pusher CDep

Anton Bordman

Anton Bordman is a chaotic emo-violence band from Providence, RI.  These guys are made up of only two members, a bassist and a drummer who also share vocal duties.  This band makes so much noise for a two-piece, you won't believe your ears!  Fast, complex, political and full of emotional distress, these dudes are amazing.  They only released two 7" records in the short time they were around.  Eat It Up Sucka's!  Dig.

Self Titled 7" (Moganono Records)

Where Do Dolls Originate? 7" (Clean Plate Records)

Perth Express

Perth Express was a mammoth down-tuned hardcore band from Germany. They encorporated styles of crust and metal to deliver a punishing assault to all who listen. Get into these dudes hard! So heavy! So good! Think Tragedy meets His Hero Is Gone! Dig! Below is their "Discography So Far" release that was dropped in 2007 and their "Harrow And Wealdstone" LP.

Aerosols

Another western MA powerhouse. This hardcore punk supergroup is made up of members of Ampere, Wasteland, SQRM, Viper, Suburbanite, Hoax, and who knows how many others. These dudes are super insane thrash punk. I saw them somewhere in MA at Daniel Striped Tiger's record release show for "Capital Cities" and they were insane! Super short fast set list but it left you feeling absolutely violated! Love it! These punks are just plain disasterous! Below are all of their merch plus an awesome cover image from one of their ep's. They had that one at the show I saw and I still kick myself for not snagging it.

LARK

Lark was a very short-lived progressive rock band from Peterborough, NH.  The band was made up members from New Hampshire's own Death To Tyrants!  I had the privilege to see these guys in Peterborough along with Sinaloa, Ampere and Off Minor!!! Easily one of the best shows I've ever seen!!  Lark's tunes filled the air with such a fresh sound that I didn't want their set to end.  They really set the mood for the show.  However, they only released a Self-Titled CDep, which they played entirely.  The EP was recorded @ Dead Air Studios in Amherst, MA so you know the quality is top-notch! Enjoy Y'all!!! This shit's nowhere on the internet!

PUNCH

Punch is an amazing female fronted hardcore punk band from the Bay Area. Fast, intense, pulverizing! Badass to the max! Below is their demo, 7" EP,  and two LP's along with their recently released split 7" with Loma Prieta and a brand new 7" entitled "Nothing Lasts" on Discos Huelga.  Get stoked on all this! Dig and enjoy!

Amazing. That's all I can say for this band. I remember hearing their demo a long while back and I was immediately taken back. IWHACIYY play some of the best, soulful, sloppy, screamo on the fucking planet. Super emotional and super awesome! Members went on to play in ...Who Calls So Loud, Beau Navire, and Punch. This is their complete discography. I don't know if this was ever released as a whole but you can get their LP from the great Discos Huelga. Dig this shit hard!

La Quiete

One of the longest running screamo bands ever. La Quiete started in 2000 and to my knowledge, they are still sweating and screaming all over europe. These Italian gents play the rawest and most beautiful music in the screamo genre. They have a laundry list of releases since they've been around so long, and I'm pretty sure I have all or most of their songs below. Fuck listing every release. RAAAD.

Members are also in: Raein and Scena

Ask Mice

Ask Mice was an intense, chaotic, noise punk/screamo band from Boston MA. Can't say much about these guys, only that they rip live and are really fucking good. I read somewhere that a full length may be released at some point, but who knows? Thrash it out! Below is their Basement Ghost ep. They have a split release with A Grim Search For Bodies, but I couldn't find those songs. Dig!

MY DISCO

Australia's MY DISCO is probably the weirdest, most entertaining band I've ever heard. Having aspects of drum and bass, noise, minimalist, and experimental, you can't categorize MY DISCO. Some of their songs go on for three minutes or more repeating the same parts, but for some fucked up reason it never gets redundant. These guys are truly musical geniuses to pull something like that off. Their first release, Collapse of an Erratic Lung/Language of Numbers is a little different than their other releases, due to the fact that they were still figuring out their sound. It reminds me of a cross between Off Minor and Death To Tyrants, which is totally fucking rad if you ask me. This is all their shit so far. Crank it and open your mind!

For fans of:  Off Minor & Young Widows

Black Ships

I saw these guys back in 2007 in a basement in Manchester, NH and they were fucking LOUD. Black Ships are from Montreal, Canada and play crusty, heavy, slightly black-metal influenced punk. Think Furnace, Coliseum, and The Holy Mountain with a dash of Deafheaven all rolled into one. I was so stoked after these guys played, I just had to buy their 6-song demo which I'm glad I snagged because I can't find it anywhere. They broke up in 2009 after their first LP, Omens was released. Below is what I believe to be their entire discography.

Members are currently in:  Barn Burner and Thunder Bay

For fans of:  Furnace, Coliseum, and Hierophant

Destroyer Destroyer

Destroyer Destroyer

These Oklahoma City Math-Metal Maniacs are fucking ridiculous! Maniacal time signatures and complex-as-shit breakdowns, Destroyer Destroyer was always one of my favorites of the genre.  The high pitched, almost pterodactyl-like screams and deeply demonic growls alone make this band  more memorable than the rest.  Below is their discography. Can ya dig...
