Total Abuse

Since 2006 Total Abuse has blessed us with a distinctive style of punk that many have tried to replicate, but failed miserably.  I'm talking about the noisey, thrashy, self-loathing, sexually sick, & mysterious punk.  The shit that isn't for the weak or squeamish.  Snag what I could find below, and please, someone hook it up with their Demo!

The Drip

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's The Drip dropped a tasty demo this year that is an absolute ripper.  These dudes play a stripped down, constantly thumping brand of hardcore punk that just keeps moving right along.  The riffs are insanely catchy and addicting along with stomping drums and ugly vocals.  This demo had me hooked right away and should definitely be heard by all.  Snag below and DIG!

Gas Rag

Chicago's Gas Rag plays a mess of fuzzy, rocking d-beat and raging thrash punk.  This is loaded with crashing cymbals, endless drum fills, squealing guitar chords drenched in feedback and fucking ugly vocals.  This shit's rad, raw and thrashes hard.  Everything this band has released rips so fucking hard especially their final 7"!  Easily some of the gnarliest punk jams dropped in recent years.  Snag everything below and Dig.

Nuke Cult

We Play Ugly Music! Fuck You! is the title of Nuke Cult's second tape, and it describes them perfectly overall. Disgusting fuzzed-out degenerate punk. Love how snotty the vocals get in these tapes. From photos it seems like the singer is a crazy fuck, which I'm sure makes Nuke Cult fucking intense if you see them live. Snag their two tapes below and get dirty.

Brown Sugar

Buffalo NY's Brown Sugar plays pure unfiltered hardcore punk that's loaded with dirty rock'n'roll influences.  These jams switch from fast and thrashy to mid paced and straight ahead that are noisy and drenched in feedback.  These guys are harsh and catchy as hell with a great experimental feel to their overall sound.  Brown Sugar's simply amazing and needs to be heard by everyone.  Their discography is posted below so snag it and find your own description of these punks.  Dig!

Pollution

Brooklyn's, Pollution played a noisy mess of punk. During their three year existence, they released two LP's, a 7", and cassette. Not bad, but unfortunately Pollution has been overlooked and underrated. I actually didn't hear them until members started Shoxx. Maybe it was their strange style that made them go unnoticed, but their originality of messy riffs and transitions littered in noise inspired bands such as Hoax and Raw Nerve. Snag their discography below.

Bloodkrow Butcher

Boston's Bloodkrow Butcher is a force of noisy d-beat hardcore begging to be reckoned with.  Since their debut in 2009, these dirty punk bastards have been griming up the scene with a sonic assault of feedback drenched crust punk with throaty, pissed off vocals, plucky bass lines, squealing shit-bag solo's, driving power chords and never-ending punk beats.  These guys mix everything you love about noisy hardcore punk and still maintain an unbelievably original sound all their own.  Snag everything below and dig!
